I’ve been busy!!!!

With the “C” word just around the corner, I’ve being busy making these cute bobble hats!…

They look like they are knitted, but, they are NOT…but I’ve made them look like Knitted arran hats!

So easy to make if you have around 10 minutes per bobble hat to make them..

In these pictures I have hung them on a wire with bells on and also pin lights…due to it being light obviously the pin lights don’t show up too good, but, on an evening they look lovely lit up…

Now, me being me, I have also made some for the christmas table, and these individual ones will have Ferraro Rocher chocolates put inside of them….

Right, I’m now going to attempt a feather Christmas tree, just like the old original German ones!!!

How to make the bobble hats….

1…..1 toilet roll cut into 6 or 7 pieces these will make the rims…

2…..strands of double knit wool …1 large ball will do around 8 bobble hats

3….Wind the double knit wool around a book once cut at one end off the book, your stands should be around 16 inches long

4…take 6 strands and fold in half make a loop where you folded and put it into the middle of the cut toilet roll and pull the strings tgrough the loop…

5…Do between 10 to 12 times

6…Once toilet roll is full…take the first part which were pulled through (you should have 12 strands per each loop…separate the 12 strands so you have 3 strands of 4….

7…plait

8…plait the others as above all the way round

9….push all the plaits up through the middle of the hole….this will now look like a rim and the plaits the hat part…

10…Take a piece of wool and tie about an inch from end of wool strands

This now makes the bobble !

11….shape the bobble with scissors…

12…Add cotton wool ball into the cavity of the hat…or you could add a Ferrero Rocher and use at christmas dinner table or hang on your tree!
